5 years ago I sent an email making a mistake that changed my life. I was desperate to leave my home country once I realized my rebel spirit didn’t fit into the lethargic Italy. I wrote to thousands of charities and NGOs in the UK asking for an internship. Everybody knows that my English is a bit awkward. So, I asked my best friend A. – the gay daddy – to write a template. His text was perfect but I managed to screwed up interpreting Sir/Madam as a title to address the recipient of my emails. Sir Bubb was in that list.

We were like two soulmates finally reunited. We recognized reciprocally our talent that the world hadn’t acknowledged so far. Filippo Addarii is Executive Director of Euclid Network, the European network of third sector leaders (www.euclidnetwork.eu) and Director of the International Leadership at ACEVO – the British association of chief executives of voluntary organsiations (www.acevo.org.uk).
